Following the box office triumph of ‘Bellbottom,’ Akshay Kumar has finished production on his next project in London. Rakul Preet Singh will star in the untitled film, which will be directed by Ranjit Tiwari, who also directed ‘Bellbottom.’ So it’s a bit of a comeback for Akshay. The handsome actor announced the conclusion of the film on his Twitter account. “Can’t believe it’s a wrap on #Production41!” he tweeted with a photo of the film’s cast and crew. I’m grateful for the opportunity to shoot and complete a wonderful adventure with the sweetest crew! Thank you so much for all of the love, smiles, and laughter!”

In ‘Bellbottom,’ Akshay portrayed an Indian agent charged with rescuing captives from a hijacked Indian airliner, with Lara Dutta (whose former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi look became the buzz of the town), Huma Qureshi, and Vaani Kapoor (who played Akshay’s wife). The veteran actor has even hinted at the potential of a ‘Bell Bottom’ sequel. The actor has stated that the way the film ends, there is absolutely room for a sequel and that if the filmmakers come up with a good idea, a sequel would be made.
Meanwhile, Akshay is working on ‘Prithviraj,’ ‘Atrangi Re,’ ‘Bachchan Pandey,’ and ‘Sooryavanshi.’ Rakul’s upcoming projects include Ajay Devgn’s ‘Mayday,’ Indra Kumar’s ‘Thank God,’ and then Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Doctor G.’
