Sameera Reddy turned to Instagram to show photos of herself while suffering from postpartum depression following the birth of her first child.
Sameera Reddy, an actress, has posted photos of herself with her baby Hans on social media. She battled postpartum depression following the birth of her first kid with spouse Akshai Varde and has been open about her rehabilitation. Speaking about mental health awareness, she said that she did not act quickly enough at the lowest time in her life.
She presented an anecdote from her own experience when explaining mental health concerns. She said, “Postpartum stress was difficult for me, and I did not react quickly enough since I was ignorant of its existence. The photos in this post show me at my lowest. I couldn’t feel pleased following the birth of my first kid, no matter how hard I tried. I still think about these times, and it makes me want to reach out to anybody who isn’t feeling good about themselves. You are not alone yourself. And being there for one another in difficult times is crucial.” She also provided advice on how to deal with Postpartum Depression (PPD) for individuals who are in a similar circumstance.
She posted a few photos of herself, one of which shows her sitting with her kid during a ceremony. In another, she smiled while holding Hans in her arms for the camera. Gauahar Khan responded with, “You’re a fantastic mom,” and a love emoji. Anita Hassanandani referred to her as the “best parent.”
Regarding PPD, Sameera earlier said that she was unsure about having a second child after giving birth to her son. She also discussed how stress caused her to lose control of her body and self, which harmed her marriage. Despite the odds, she said that it was her husband and family who assisted her in overcoming the difficulties.
Sameera married Akshai in a traditional Maharashtrian wedding in January 2014. Hans, their son, was born in 2015, and Nyra, their daughter, was born in 2019.
