Two terror suspects, including a minor, have been seized by the Delhi Police in connection with the May 9 RPG attack on the Punjab Police headquarters in Mohali. Police said the kid was also entrusted with “eliminating” actor Salman Khan.
According to the police, Lawrence Bishnoi and Jaggu Bhagwanpuria charged the juvenile along with Deepak Surakpur (who is currently at large) and Monu Dagar (who is incarcerated) with “eliminating” Salman Khan.
The minor revealed that Lawrence Bishnoi assigned him, Surakhpur, and Dagar the mission to eliminate Salman Khan. Later, though, the thug Rana Kandowalia replaced Salman as their major target. Other cases mentioned by the pair are being investigated, according to the police.
In June, Salman and his father received death threats, and he was subsequently issued a handgun for self-defense. Salman’s security was increased on June 6 and a police van was stationed in front of his home after his father discovered a threat note sent to him and his family the day prior. The note was discovered by Salim Khan’s security crew outside their residence in Mumbai, near the Bandra Bandstand promenade, where Salim Khan runs every morning. The message stated, “Moosewala jaisa kar doonga” (You will face the same fate as Moosewala), referring to the May 29 murder of Punjabi artist and Congress leader Sidhu Moosewala in Punjab’s Mansa district.
Later, Rakhi Sawant, a devoted follower of Salman Khan, expressed her desire to serve as his bodyguard. She told the journalists, “I am thrilled that Salman received a firearms license. Salman sir don’t take the strain. Nothing bad will occur to you. Everyone’s blessings are with you, and I continue to pray day and night for him. I also prayed for his gun license so that he might obtain it to protect himself. If necessary, I am willing to serve as his bodyguard. I will accompany him, and if somebody fires, the bullet will strike me.”
