It took Amole Gupte six years to finish his biopic on badminton champion Saina Nehwal. The film is good to go to deliver with Parineeti Chopra attempting the piece of the badminton pro. Discussing the film, which is named Saina, he says, “I had a feeling that I had bounced off an airplane with a parachute that wasn’t opening for some time. I thought I planned to crash land and vanish, yet fortunately it opened and I had a smooth arrival.”
The venture, which took off in 2015, confronted an obstacle when Shraddha Kapoor, who was to star initially in the film, bowed out. What likewise required some investment was the colossal examination that went into making the venture. “I thought distinctly about Saina’s accomplishments, however nothing about her story,” he clarifies, adding, “I accepted the open door and an act of pure trust to make a film on her when she turned into the World No 1 badminton major part in 2015. Since August 15, I have been dedicating my life all day, every day to the extraordinary woman called Saina Nehwal. Her life has been a kadhai of feelings.”
Amole says that it was in 2019 that Parineeti stepped in as Saina and inside a half year, the venture went on the floor. “I invested a ton of energy investigating. The chief as of late screened the film to Saina’s folks. He says, “Saina isn’t in the country, so I showed the film to her folks, Usha Rani Nehwal and Dr Harvir Singh Nehwal.
