Madhuri Dixit-Aishwarya Rai’s ‘Dola Re’ melody from ‘Devdas’ required 16 days of shooting-Restrictive!

It’s never simple to shoot a tune with two amazing artists in a similar edge. Bollywood has many models from an earlier time. Normally, ‘Dola Re’ from ‘Devdas’ (2002), which included Aishwarya Rai and Madhuri Dixit, was no special case. The intriguing part is that it took upwards of 16 days to finish this melody from the Shah Rukh Khan-Madhuri-Aishwarya starrer.

Madhuri and Aishwarya were in constant disagreement, truth be told they had the hottest of conditions. “Not once did they can’t help contradicting one another, yet indeed, it required 16 days to finish the Dola Re shoot,” says Saroj Khan’s sibling Suresh. The movie’s chief, the fussbudget Sanjay Leela Bhansali had any issues by the same token. “Sanjayji had left it totally to my sister. He had faultless trust in her,” Suresh further said.

So for what reason did it take long? Clarified Suresh, “Indeed, we are discussing India’s two incredible artists Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai. So now and again, Aishwarya took care of business and Madhuri had done one stage in an alternate manner and the other way around. My sister would not swallow that. Indeed, I was on the set that time and advised her ‘chal jayega, nahin dikhega’ (It’s OK, let it go). She turned around and advised me, ‘agar mujhe dikh raha hai, toh kisi aur ko kyun nahin dikh sakta hai?’ (On the off chance that I can see it, how are you certain that no one else would see it?’). What’s more, it was difficult to get Madhuri and Aishwarya in a state of harmony, not to fail to remember that it was Saroj Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali who must be persuaded.”

However, all through the shoot, we realized that we were setting out toward a melody that won’t ever be forgotten throughout the entire existence of film. We generally remembered that it involved time when it would get awesome thus, the energy made things simple. The final result, obviously, left us awestruck.”

Madhuri turned 54, today. Finishing up with the condition that Sarojji imparted to Madhuri, Suresh said, “My sister would adjust the progression for each and every other courageous woman on the off chance that they couldn’t hit the nail on the head, yet she never transformed it for Madhuri. She generally realized Madhuri could do it flawlessly, sometime. She had an exceptionally extraordinary relationship with Madhuri; both resembled mother-little girl couple who might consistently be in concurrence with one another.”

Saroj Khan won her eighth Best Choreographer Grant for Dola Re at Filmfare.
