DJ Alex Pall of the American music duo The Chainsmokers has expressed a desire to collaborate with actor Ram Charan in the future. The American DJ was evident in his desire to collaborate with the “hot dude” from RRR during his conversation with Raj Shamani on his podcast.
Ram Charan on Alex Pall
When Raj inquired about Alex’s “dream Indian artist” for a collaboration, Alex declined to provide a name. He expressed his desire for the collaboration to be a genuine fusion of two cultures, not merely for the sake of it, with whomever he associates. Additionally, he stated that he is not interested in pursuing this endeavor solely to increase his fan base in India, as he believes that “music is sacred.”
However, Alex responded promptly when asked whether there was a Bollywood actor with whom he would like to collaborate. Despite his inability to recall Ram’s name, he inquired, “Who is that individual in RRR who is comparable to that hot boy?” Alex states, “The less goofy one, the more military one,” in response to the host’s observation that both Ram and Jr NTR have a substantial fan base. “I am interested in collaborating with him; the entire film was amazing.” Sitaramaraju, an Indian Imperial police officer, was portrayed by Ram in RRR.
The Chainsmokers’ affection for Bollywood
On the podcast, Alex also expressed his admiration for Bollywood cinema, recounting how he was “captivated” by the “dancing, scenes, colors, and choreography” of a Bollywood film that a passenger in the seat in front of him was viewing while on a plane.
This is not the first instance in which Alex or Andrew Taggart, the other half of The Chainsmokers, have expressed their affection for Indian films and artists. In 2017, they stated to Hindustan Times, “We are currently interested in collaborating with Priyanka Chopra.” We have already collaborated on a tune; consequently, we are eager to participate in a Bollywood film alongside her. Shah Rukh Khan was scheduled to visit us in Mumbai; however, things were disrupted by the scheduling. Certainly! Bollywood is of relevance to us.
Upcoming projects
Ram is currently collaborating with Shankar on a film titled Game Changer, following SS Rajamouli’s RRR. The film, which will also feature Kiara Advani in the main role, is scheduled for release in September of this year. Additionally, the actor has recommended a film directed by Buchi Babu Sana, who is known for his work on Uppena, in addition to a film by Sukumar.
