Amitabh Bachchan, who is presently filming Prabhas’ Project-K in Hyderabad, took some time out to participate in the Green India Challenge and plant trees. In the presence of Nagarjuna, producer Ashwin, and others, a tree-planting ceremony was performed at Ramoji Film City. Big B was given the Vruksha Vedam book by MP Joginapally Santosh Kumar, who explained its contents to him.

Amitabh Bachchan is presently filming in Hyderabad for Prabhas’ Project K. He planted trees at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad on Tuesday as part of the Green India Challenge. The veteran actor was joined to the occasion by actor Nagarjuna and producer Ashwin. Apart from planting saplings, the stars also clicked pictures at the event.
WHEN BIG B PLANTED GULMOHAR SAPLING IN HIS MUMBAI RESIDENCE
Amitabh Bachchan planted a Gulmohar sapling in remembrance of his late mother, Tejwant Kaur Suri, often known as Teji Bachchan, last year after recuperating from Covid-19. The actor told about how he planted a Gulmohar tree at his Mumbai house, Prateeksha, 44 years ago. “This large’gulmohar’ tree was planted as a seedling by me when we bought our first house Prateeksha in 1976… the previous storm knocked it down… however, yesterday on my Mother’s birthday Aug 12th I transplanted a fresh new Gulmohar tree in her name… at the same site! (sic)” he said.
On the job front, Amitabh Bacchan is presently filming Project K, a sci-fi film starring Prabhas. Nag Ashwin directed the film, which also features Deepika Padukone in a crucial part. Big B just provided the muhurta shot for the film on Guru Purnima. He’s also working on Brahmastra, MayDay, Chehre, and Jhund.
