Deepika Padukone was seen struggling with her train as she walked the red carpet on Tuesday.
Deepika Padukone is a member of the jury at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and has kept her public appearances simple and relaxed. However, the actor’s red carpet appearance on Tuesday proved difficult. She arrived at the venue wearing an intricate orange gown with a train and was seen struggling to walk in the figure-hugging ensemble with the train in her way.
Deepika posed with the other jury members at the event as they watched the film L’innocent. Deepika’s outfit was dramatic, with a bundle of pleated cloth behind her back, but the actor struggled with the train. She was seen bending down to bring the bundled-up train from her side to her back every time she walked a little. She was also seen walking strangely in the skirt, making it difficult for her to climb the stairs.
Deepika posted photos of her new look on Instagram, and her husband Ranveer Singh was among the first to compliment her. “This is everything! A heart and kiss eyes emoticon was added to his declaration. In the comments, Neha Dhupia called her “stunning.”
Earlier this week, she spoke at the inauguration of the India pavilion at Cannes 2022 about how far Indian cinema has come. It is an honor for me to be here as an Indian and to represent my country, which has a long way to go. However, if you look at it that way, back in 75 years of Cannes, she said, “there have only been a handful of Indian films and Indian talent that have made it, and I feel like collectively as a nation today we have it.”
In Pathaan, Deepika will follow Shah Rukh Khan’s return to the big screen. Siddharth Anand’s film will also star John Abraham. Hrithik Roshan will be her co-star for the first time in Fighter, due out in September of next year.
