Cricketer Harbhajan Singh is making his acting debut in the Tamil film “Friendship,” and the film’s creators published a new poster on Saturday to commemorate the cricketer’s 41st birthday. Singh will play Bhajji, a mechanical engineering student, who has previously appeared in films such as “Mujhse Shaadi Karogi,” “Bhaji in Problem,” and “Second Hand Husband.”
The film, which was announced last year and is produced by Toughened Studios Limited, also stars Arjun, Losliya Mariyanesan, and Sathish.
The film was directed by John Paul Raj and Sham Surya. Kiran Reddy Mandadi and Ram Maddukuri are the producers.
This year, “Friendship” will be released in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil.
Singh is regarded as one of India’s greatest spinners, having appeared in 103 Tests for the country and, taking 417 wickets. He also got 269 wickets in 236 One-Day Internationals.
