Jimmy Kimmel calls RRR a “Bollywood movie” at Oscars, taunts Naatu Naatu on Twitter

Jimmy Kimmel, who was in charge of the 95th Academy Awards, said that RRR was a “Bollywood movie.” As Jimmy announced the very first award category, the dancers who were performing Naatu Naatu on stage pushed him away. Jimmy said, “This year, instead of playing you off stage, a gathering of performers from the movie RRR will dance you offstage.” Later, he also said that the film by SS Rajamouli was a “Bollywood movie.”

A fan account posted a video to Twitter. Someone wrote in response to Jimmy’s comment, “It hasn’t even been 15 minutes and Jimmy Kimmel has already called RRR Bollywood. Ugh.” Another Twitter user said, “Jimmy Kimmel saying RRR is a Hindi cinema film is my last straw because how is someone so bad? God, I can’t take this.” A tweet said, “I don’t need to listen to Jimmy Kimmel call RRR a Bollywood movie when he’s wrong.”
