Kangana Ranaut has launched a counter-defamation suit against Javed Akhtar, the lyricist. The actress appeared in an Andheri court earlier today in connection with Akhtar’s defamation suit brought against her last year. Kangana Ranaut files a counter defamation case against Javed Akhtar. The case’s hearing has been postponed until November 15. Kangana questioned why she was required to attend sessions in person and launched a counter-defamation suit against Javed Akhtar.
“It has been seen that this court without giving an adequate reason and reasons and without there being a request on record which legitimizes convincing appearance of the Denounced in a bailable, non-cognizable and compoundable offense, this Court is undermining the Blamed, on each date of giving “a capture warrant” without giving any adequate reason and reason,” a part of the grumbling read.
“As needs are, we have lost confidence in this Court and have along these lines we have made an exchange application to that CMM Court and the following date is October 1, 2021,” it added.
In the meantime, Kangana Ranaut files a counter defamation case against Javed Akhtar has over and over neglected to show up under the watchful eye of the court in association with the case. Beforehand, the Bombay High Court had stretched out the cutoff time for Kangana to show up till September 20 bombing which the court had cautioned that a warrant will be given against her.
Kangana has been neglecting to show up under the watchful eye of the court since summons was given to her in February this year. The entertainer’s legal counselor had presented a clinical endorsement under the steady gaze of the court during the last hearing and said that she has been going for the advancement of her film and has “created Coronavirus manifestations”.
The court had last week said it will issue a warrant against Ranaut if she fails to appear on the next date of hearing on September 20. Earlier this month, the Bombay HC dismissed filed by Ranaut seeking quashing of proceedings initiated against her by the local court on the criminal defamation complaint filed by Akhtar.
