Tuesday, Kangana Ranaut and her family welcomed a special guest to their Manali home. The chief minister of Himachal Pradesh, Jairam Thakur, visited the actress and had breakfast with her family. Kangana shared photos of their meeting on Instagram and described the delicacies she offered the president during their meal together.
Kangana maintains a residence in Manali, close to her birthplace, and divides her time between that location and Mumbai. On Tuesday, she posted a collection of photos to Instagram Stories and revealed that Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur visited her mountain house. Had the pleasure of seeing the honorable Himachal Chief Minister Jairam Thakur Ji at his residence today, she wrote in Hindi. His humility and devotion to Himachal Pradesh are inspiring.” The photograph depicted Kangana, the chief minister, Manali MLA Govind Singh Thakur, and members of her family conversing in the actor’s living room.
Kangana uploaded a second image of herself, the CM, and her mother Asha Ranaut seated at a dining table. “My mum prepared babu and Himachali Bhalla for the prime minister’s breakfast,” she wrote in Hindi. The actor uploaded a second photo in which she and her family posed with the CM and MLA.
Kangana was born in the nearby village of Bhambla. She moved to Mumbai as a teenager to pursue an acting career, but she has retained ties to her birthplace. She has made no secret of her affection for her home state and built a mansion there a few years ago.
The previous film in which the actor appeared was the action-thriller Dhaakad, which underperformed at the box office, failing to collect even 10 crores. However, the film’s digital release on Zee5 was a success. The actress is anticipating the release of her upcoming film, Tejas, in which she portrays an Air Force pilot. In the historical drama Emergency, she will play former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
