The most current season of the filmmaker Karan Johar’s discussion show Koffee with Karan on the OTT streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar has just completed. Intriguingly, while saying goodbye, the director-producer indicated that he would return for yet another season the following year. Simultaneously, Karan has been busy on the film front, with Dharma Productions delivering one blockbuster after another, the most recent being Brahmastra, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Karan Johar, however, stunned his admirers by announcing his withdrawal from the social networking website Twitter.
Today, Karan Johar posted a tweet on the microblogging site that said, “Making space for more positive energy only, and this is the first step towards that. “Farewell, Twitter! Following this article’s release, the filmmaker removed his online presence. While the site now lists the handle, it displays the notice ‘This account does not exist.’
Karan Johar, who has been labelled the “flagbearer of nepotism,” has been the target of extensive ridicule throughout the years, but it is unclear what the next steps are. In fact, at the conclusion of Koffee with Karan, the director discussed his mental health and how counselling had helped him. While we shall miss Karan’s Twitter posts, we wish the filmmaker the best of luck on his endeavour to amass positive energy.
