Kriti Sanon has stated that there are no single men left in the film industry. Kriti Sanon joked that she would not have to sleep alone after winning the Filmfare Award for best actress in a leading role (female) because she has the black lady (the trophy) with her. She was awarded the prize for her performance in Mimi.
Tuesday, after receiving the award, Kriti Sanon posted a message on Instagram declaring that her dream has been realized. She uploaded a video as well. It depicted her resting her head on the trophy while lying in bed. The camera then moved to show her hugging the black woman placed on the pillow beside her. “Tonight, I won’t be sleeping alone! My heart is overflowing with gratitude. The black lady has at last arrived. “Thank you @filmfare for this much-needed affirmation and for making my dream a reality,” she wrote in a tweet.
She also thanked the film’s director, Laxman Utekar, writing, “A bigger thank you to #Dinoo and @laxman.utekar sir.. for giving me this beautiful role and for being my constant supporters… I adore both of you! The entire cast and crew of @maddockfilms made this film extraordinary. And to the adoring audiences and all my admirers for showering Mimi and me with so much affection. Mom, dad, Nups (her sister Nupur Sanon) — I did it! Here’s too lofty dreams… Good evening, everyone!”
Kriti was asked by the media, on the sidelines of the awards ceremony, who from the film business she would have loved to have accompanied her as her date on the red carpet. She was mentioned in an ETimes article as saying, “I wish I had a date; he would have been here. I’m not sure. Who is currently unattached? Honestly, it is a very difficult task. I can’t… There are no unattached men.”
Kriti made her debut in Bollywood alongside Tiger Shroff in the 2014 film Heropanti. Since then, she has appeared in films such as Dilwale, Bareilly Ki Barfi, Luka Chuppi, Panipat, and Mimi. She will soon be featured in Bhediya with Varun Dhawan. She also has the film Adipurush starring Prabhas in the works.
