The actor revealed that upon her release, Tezaab flew to the United States. When she returned to India, she was informed that the romantic drama was a success, but she had no idea what it meant to have a successful film. She said, I was told that Tezaab was a hit, but I didn’t know what a hit film felt like because none of my other movies had been hits that kind of reception.”
The actor added that two of her admirers had recognized her in public and addressed her “Are Ek Do Teen, Ek Do Teen, Ek Do Teen, Main Bolta Hun. Autograph, Autograph.” After being recognized, Dixit was elated and gives her an autograph. She added that her fans referred to her by her character’s film name, “Mohini.”
