Nope,’ directed by Oscar winner Jordan Peele, is his third feature picture. On Thursday, Peele announced the title of the upcoming film by releasing the official poster to his social media sites.
The poster depicts a cloud with a kite flag tail flying above a lighted mountaintop town at night.
Peele reunites with Daniel Kaluuya, who earned an Oscar for best-supporting actor for his portrayal in ‘Judas and the Black Messiah’.
Keke Palmer (‘Hustlers’) and Steven Yeun (‘Minari’) will also feature in the film.
‘Nope’ will be published in the United States on July 22, 2022.
Peele has established himself as one of the most successful horror directors in recent years.
His directorial first film, ‘Get Out,’ was one of the most critically praised films of 2017, grossing USD 255 million on a USD 4.5 million budget.
Peele went on to win an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay, while the film got four nominations, including Best Picture and Best Director.
He followed it up with another blockbuster picture in the genre, ‘Us,’ which starred Lupita Nyong’o and was released in 2019.
