Pathaan is still causing a lot of trouble, and now groups are fighting again in the streets. Even though the filmmakers haven’t put out the trailer yet, it looks like the protests haven’t stopped. Earlier, governments and other Hindu groups complained about the lyrics in the song “Besharam Rang,” which stars Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. Recently, however, we heard that the Bajrang Dal group vandalized a famous mall in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and even threatened the authorities of a nearby multiplex.
In recent news, the Hindu group Bajrang Dal went to the Alpha One mall in Ahmedabad and caused a lot of trouble in the theater area by tearing down Pathaan posters and destroying Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone cutout posters. Also, the group told the officials at the multiplex that the movie shouldn’t be shown in theaters. In a video posted online by ANI, we can see the group members yelling slogans and breaking things in the mall, even though they had been warned many times.
For those who didn’t know, the song “Besharam Rang” got a lot of attention when Deepika Padukone was seen wearing a saffron-colored bikini in it. Because of what the color means in the Hindu religion, many people who support Hindu groups thought it was wrong to use it. Because of the same thing, some politicians also asked that the movie not be shown.
The movie’s trailer should hit YouTube on January 10, and the action-comedy movie itself should come out on January 25. Shah Rukh, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham play the main characters in the movie, which was directed by Siddharth Anand.
