Pooja Hegde has defended Kareena Kapoor Khan, who was recently ridiculed for reportedly seeking Rs 12 crore for the role of Sita in a forthcoming film. Soon after the news emerged, there was a flurry of discussion on social media about her pay. Protests soon erupted, demanding that Bebo be removed from the picture.
Pooja has now spoken out in favor of Bebo for asking for what she deserves in an interview with SeetaGeeta. She admits that if an actor had requested a large quantity of money, no one would have questioned him. “Kuch Toh log kahenge, logo ka kaam hai kehna (People will always have an opinion since that’s what they do),” says the song. That’s just part of the business, and I’m sure Kareena was unaffected by it as well. All the best to her! She’s asking for what she believes she’s worth, and the producer will decide what he can pay at the end of the day. As a result, more power to her. The more women recognize their worth, the more they will receive the recognition they deserve.”
Pooja Hegde, on the other hand, has an exciting slate of projects in the works. She had roles in Salman Khan’s “Bhaijaan,” Ranveer Singh’s “Cirkus,” Prabhas’ “Radhe Shyam,” “Most Eligible Bachelor,” “Beast,” and “Acharya.”
