Priyanka Chopra will return to India after nearly three years. The first time the actor will return home with his daughter Malti. She utilized Instagram Stories to express her delight upon returning home. She uploaded a photo of her boarding pass to Instagram Stories to inform her followers of her travel plans.
Priyanka posted an image of the boarding pass and wrote, “Eventually…going home After nearly three years.” This would be her initial visit to India following the Covid pandemic.
Priyanka was anticipated to return to India in April of this year. In April, she told Travel+Leisure, “My mind has been on vacation every night, but I cannot wait to return to India. Each Indian state has its own written and spoken language, resulting in unique alphabets, clothing, cuisine, and holidays. Thus, crossing the border in India is equivalent to entering a new country. Every time I return to my hometown, I make sure to take some time off and travel.”
In December 2018, Priyanka and Nick Jonas wed at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur. In January, their daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas was born via surrogacy. The couple remained in Los Angeles during the Covid pandemic before resuming work-related travel after the number of Covid cases decreased.
Back in Los Angeles, Priyanka continues to observe Indian customs at home. She recently observed Diwali and led a puja alongside her husband Nick Jonas and Malti. Her daughter celebrated her first Diwali. As they performed a puja, the family of three wore identical white ethnic garb. Her mother, Madhu Chopra, is currently residing with them to spend time with their infant daughter and to participate in their Diwali festivities.
Priyanka has multiple projects in the pipeline. In addition to Jee Le Zaraa, she has the Hollywood films Its All Coming Back To Me and Ending Things. She will also make her OTT debut on Citadel, a show produced by the Russo Brothers.
