Ranbir Kapoor does not want Alia Bhatt to give up her dreams after having a child and prefers to be present for his child the majority of the time. In a recent interview, the actor discussed how he would approach fatherhood and how he would like to share parenting duties with Alia.
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia married in April and recently announced the birth of their first child. Alia announced the news on Instagram, alongside a photo from her ultrasound session.
In an interview with Indian Express, Ranbir expressed his desire to be a hands-on father, saying, “Alia and I have been talking about it for some time now, how we’re how we’re going to divide our tasks and how we’re going to allocate our time.” When we were children, our fathers were extremely busy at work and rarely had time to spend with us, so we were mostly raised by our mothers and were very close to them. I want a different dynamic with my children, and I want them to be close to me as well.”
This industry has so many demands on her time that I don’t want to see her give up her career because she has a child,” Ranbir added, expressing his desire to see Alia succeed professionally even after she became a mother. Keeping our personal and professional lives in balance is essential, so it’s one day at a time, step by step for me, but I have high hopes.”
Alia returned to the United States this weekend after completing filming on her first feature-length film, Heart of Stone. The film also stars Gal Gadot, who shared a touching message for Alia as she returned home.
