Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra was detained in a pornographic case by Mumbai Police on Monday night. According to Mumbai Police’s official statement, Raj looks to be the case’s “chief conspirator. Following his incarceration, Raj’s previous tweets from 2012 regarding “porn vs prostitution” have gone popular on the internet. He had questioned whether it was legal to pay someone for sex on video in his tweets, and he had asked how prostitution differed from porn.
“Ok, so here’s Porn Vs Prostitution,” he had written. Why is it permissible to pay someone for on-camera sex? What distinguishes one from the other? ”
Meanwhile, Mumbai Police Commissioner Hemant Nagrale confirmed Raj Kundra’s arrest in a statement released on Monday, which read, “There was a case registered with Crime Branch Mumbai in February 2021 about the creation of pornographic films and publishing them through some Apps. We’ve arrested Mr. Raj Kundra in this case on 19/7/21 as he appears to be the key conspirator of this.”
He has been charged under the IPC sections 420 (cheating), 34 (common intention), 292, and 293 (relating to obscene and indecent ads and exhibitions), as well as other provisions of the IT Act and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, according to sources.
According to Mumbai Police, a case was filed in February 2021 in relation to this incident, and Raj Kundra was the “Key conspirator” in the case.
According to reports, more investigations are underway. The lawsuit entails making pornographic films and distributing them via applications.
The businessman was brought to the hospital after his arrest for a medical checkup. Raj spent the night in the Mumbai Crime Branch’s custody. He will be brought before the magistrate’s court on Tuesday.
