Sonam Kapoor posted photos from her baby shower on Instagram. Other guests, including sister Rhea Kapoor, complimented it as “amazing” and “elegant.” Sonam and Anand Ahuja are expecting their first child.
Sonam Kapoor celebrated her baby shower in London, where she is expecting her first child with her husband Anand Ahuja. Her sister Rhea Kapoor, as well as several of the guests who attended the shower, were thrilled with the decorations and turned to Instagram on Wednesday to post photos and videos from the occasion.
According to the photos, the baby shower was hosted in a garden and had cucustomizedood, tablecloths, and presents for each visitor. Rhea posted a photo of a handwritten menu with her name above it on Instagram Stories, captioning it, “Such a gorgeous baby shower.” Sonam’s name was also written next to each guest’s meal on the hand-painted tablecloth. Rhea posted additional photos from the shower, which included lovely décor and a dessert table piled high with pies.
More attendees shared photographs from the shower on Instagram Stories, showing that their names were also inscribed on their napkins. The visitors were also given an off-white purse and a neckpiece with their names engraved on it. One visitor described the shower as “the chicest baby lunch,” while another described it as “amazing.” “The most wonderful #babyshower to honor adorable mother-to-be Sonam Kapoor,” one user remarked. “@sonamkapoor you are a great lady…and it was so lovely to celebrate with you,” said another, adding that every minute element of the shower was “beautiful” and “elegant.”
Leo Kalyan, the artist who played live at the shower to delight the guests, also shared a photo with Sonam. The expecting mother donned a pink flowing dress to the event. Sonam was seen swaying to the music and Rhea clapped as Leo sang her song Masakali.
Sonam and Anand, who married in May 2018, revealed their pregnancy in March 2022. They posted photographs from their pregnancy photoshoot with the remark, “There are four hands. To raise you as best we can. There are two hearts. That will beat in time with yours, every step of the way. Who will shower you with love and encouragement? The pair wrote, “We can’t wait to greet you.”
