According to sources, actress Sophie Turner has given birth to her and singer Joe Jonas’ second child, a daughter. This was confirmed by their reps. Sophie, famed for her part in the popular television series Game of Thrones, reportedly gave birth in Miami, Florida, earlier this month and has already returned home. Willa, the older daughter of the pair, was born in July 2020.
Sophie’s baby bulge was seen on many occasions in 2022, but the actor finally confirmed her second pregnancy in a May interview, when she discussed it for the first time. A few weeks later, Sophie and her husband Joe were photographed on the red carpet of the 2022 Met Gala with the actor’s pregnant belly.
Thursday, reps for both celebs confirmed to People the birth of their second child. “Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are delighted to announce the birth of their daughter,” their representatives said.
The second child of Sophie and Joe is the most recent addition to the Jonas family. Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra received their first child together, a baby girl named Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, via surrogacy in January, while Kevin Jonas and his wife Danielle Jonas have their own two daughters, Alena and Valentina.
In a May interview with Elle UK, Sophie announced her pregnancy and stated, “Raising the next generation is my life’s purpose. The greatest joy in life is watching my daughter grow stronger over time. We couldn’t be more excited to welcome a new member into our family. This is the greatest blessing ever.”
Sophie told Elle UK that she was uncertain whether Willa realized that she was set to become an older sibling. “I’ll indicate my tummy and ask, ‘What’s inside? After that, she gestures to her tummy and says, “Baby,” after which she points to her father’s stomach and also says, “Baby.” Because of this, I think that she believes that a belly is a baby and that this is its name… “However, she is much more clingy than usual, so I believe she has some idea,” Sophie remarked.
