Sushmita Sen stated that she came close to marrying three times, but that her two daughters were never the reason for her failed relationships.
Sushmita Sen has stated unequivocally that her two daughters, Renee Sen and Alisah, have never been the reason for her inability to marry. The woman who won Miss Universe in 1994 has two adopted daughters and got back into acting with the web series Aarya. She has now revealed that she was on the verge of marrying three times before ‘God saved’ her.
She recently ended her relationship with Rohman Shawl. The two appear to be on good terms as they respond to each other’s social media posts; he even joined her in celebrating the 28th anniversary of her beauty pageant victory.
During an interview with Twinkle Khanna for Tweak India, Sushmita discussed the golden rule for her romantic relationships that she came up with after the adoption of her first child, Renee. Sushmita explained that she came up with this rule after adopting her first kid doesn’t want anyone to come and share the responsibilities but never tries and asks me to step away from it.”
Sushmita revealed her feelings about marriage “Fortunately, I met some very interesting men in my life; the only reason I never married was that they disappointed me. Nothing has to do with my children. My children were never considered. They have been very gracious, if at all. Both of my children have welcomed new people into their lives with open arms and have never made a face. They have shown everyone the same amount of love and respect. It’s stunning to watch.”
Before God intervened, I was about to get married three times,” she said. I can’t tell you what happened to their lives after that. Because God is protecting these two children, he can’t let me get involved in a messy affair.”
Sushmita won the Miss Universe pageant in 1994 and made her film debut in 1996 with Mahesh Bhatt’s Dastak. She has since appeared in films such as Biwi No. 1, Fiza, Aankhen, Main Hoon Na, and Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya? She made a comeback with Aarya in 2020, and the show returned for a second season last year.
