Sydney Sweeney claims she doesn’t make enough money from acting to make ends meet

Sydney Sweeney

Euphoria’s Despite being a part of Netflix’s award-winning show, Sydney Sweeney has spoken out about her modest wage. She has stated that she will be unable to take a leave of absence from work because it will be difficult for her to meet her bills without a regular paycheck. Sydney played Cassie Howard in the film Euphoria.

Sydney told the Hollywood Reporter, “If I were to take a six-month hiatus, I don’t have the income to cover it.” I don’t have anyone to lean on, no one to whom I can turn to pay my expenses or seek assistance. They don’t compensate performers like they used to, and there are no residuals with streamers.”

“The established stars still get paid,” Sydney, who owns a $3 million estate in Los Angeles, continued, “but I have to give 5 percent to my lawyer, 10 percent to my agents, and 3 percent or something like that to my business manager.” Every month, I have to pay my publicist, which is more than my mortgage. I couldn’t afford to live in Los Angeles if I only acted. I take deals because I have no choice.”

Sydney Sweeney made her feature film debut as a young artist with ZMD: Zombies of Mass Destruction in 2009. She later appears in the Netflix series Everything Sucks! (2018) as Emaline, the Hulu series The Handmaid’s Tale (2018) as Eden, and HBO’s Sharp Objects as Alice (2018). In 2019, she landed the role of Cassie Howard in the film Euphoria, alongside Maude Apatow, Zendaya, and Angus Cloud.

She will next be seen in Madame Web, a superhero film based on Marvel’s heroine of the same name. Dakota Johnson, Celeste O’Connor, Isabela Merced, Tahar Rahim, Emma Roberts, Mike Epps, and Adam Scott will also appear in the film.
