After being told he had vestibular hypofunction, actor Varun Dhawan said he “shut down.” Varun stated in a new interview that he had no idea what had happened to him. After the Covid-19 outbreak, he claimed, people “returned to the same rat race.” Varun remarked that he pushed himself so hard for JugJugg Jeeyo that he felt like he was “running for office.”
Raj Mehta is the director of the family comedy-drama JugJugg Jeeyo, which was produced by Dharma Productions and Viacom18 Studios and directed by Mehta. With a worldwide total of 135 crores, it was one of the highest-grossing Hindi films of 2022 and was released on June 24.
In an interview with India Today, Varun discussed the post-pandemic era, stating, “As soon as we opened the doors, don’t you think we returned to the same rat race? How many individuals can say they have changed? I see folks working even harder! I became so aggressive with my film JugJugg Jeeyo that I felt like I was campaigning for office. Why do I put so much pressure on myself? I have no idea.”
He continued, “I’ve recently shut down. I had no idea what had transpired. I was diagnosed with vestibular hypofunction, a condition characterized by a loss of balance. But I’ve been putting so much pressure on myself. Nobody is asking why we are participating in this race. I believe there is a higher purpose for our existence. I am striving to find mine, and I hope others will do the same.”
Varun will appear in the horror comedy film Bhediya, directed by Amar Kaushik. The film, which features Kriti Sanon and Abhishek Banerjee, is scheduled for release on November 25. The filming took place in Arunachal Pradesh earlier this year. He will also appear alongside Janhvi Kapoor in the upcoming film Bawaal by filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari. The film, produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, is scheduled for release on April 7, 2023.
