After his pan-India film Liger failed to resonate with audiences, actor Vijay Deverakonda has been rarely seen in public. He has avoided social media with the exception of a few occasions. However, the actor addressed the film’s response and its effect on him at the recent SIIMA Awards.
Vijay Deverakonda accepted his prize at the ceremony while choking back tears and revealing that he did not want to be there because he had been feeling down recently.
“Everyone has good days. We all experience bad days. We all experience bad days. But regardless of how we feel, we rise… And today, I truly didn’t want to be here accepting this award, but I’m here, and as I talk to you, I pledge to get the job done for you all and to keep you entertained. In his acceptance remarks, he mentioned this.
As soon as the video was uploaded to the internet, the celebrity’s devoted followers raced to express their support. Along with the hashtag #VijayDeverakonda, one user added, “I know his agony.” Someone else added, “He will grow stronger, always with you, Anna” “Return strong with Kushi,” another comment said.
Liger, which also starred Ananya Panday, Ronit Roy, and Ramya Krishnan, was a box office flop. Mike Tyson also made a cameo appearance in the film, which he supposedly forgot about when questioned by a journalist.
Vijay Deverakonda is currently anticipating the release of Kushi, in which he will co-star alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
