Vijay Deverakonda

Actor Vijay Deverakonda has responded to the latest social media trend of Bollywood film boycotts. In a recent interview, when asked if the tendency influences his upcoming film Liger, Vijay stated, “Kaun rokenge dekh lakh le “#BoycottLigerMovie” began trending on Twitter a few days before the film’s premiere. Recent calls to boycott films like Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha, Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan, and Hrithik Roshan’s upcoming Vikram Vedha have been heard. The trend has affected the box office performance of numerous recent releases.

Vijay Deverakonda added that it is unfortunate that films and actresses must face the brunt of the criticism. He has also stated that he is confident people would enjoy him and Liger because the film was created with a great deal of love and effort. The actor also discussed his personal and professional problems and how he overcome them.

On Monday, ANI quoted Vijay as stating about Liger “We anticipated some drama with Liger, but we will fight. We’ve put our hearts into making this movie. I also believe I am correct. I believe there is no space for dread; when I had nothing, I did not fear, and now that I have accomplished something, I do not believe there is any reason to fear. Maa ka aashirwaad, Logon ka pyaar, Bhagwaan ka haath, andar aag, Kaun rokenge dekh lenge”

On his hardships, Vijay remarked, “Life has taught me to be a warrior, I believe. When I was younger, I had to struggle for respect and money, and when I was older, I had to fight for my position in the industry and even for employment. For me, each film was like a grueling battle. We were unable to locate a producer to finance my first film, so I did it for free and we had to seek funds to cover production costs. At the time, I was an industry nobody. When my third picture, Arjun Reddy, was ready to be released, we were met with opposition. But the film was a box office success, and now people recognize me because of my role in it.”

Liger, a movie about sports, will come out in theatres on August 25. This is Vijay’s first film in Hindi, and Ananya’s first film in many languages. The movie will be released in the languages of Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. These individuals are the producers: Jagannadh, Charmme Kaur, Karan Johar, and Apoorva Mehta.
