what Spider-Man: No Way Home finale implies for the MCU

SPOILERS FOR SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME AHEAD! This is an analysis of Spider-Man: No Way Home’s mid-credits and end-credits scenes, however, it contains spoilers for No Way Home and maybe other Marvel films and series as well.

Marvel’s most recent release Spider-Man: No Way Home has a mid-credit and post-credit sequence, both of which are potentially linked to future MCU films. Let’s take a look at each of these moments individually and see what they mean for the future of the Marvel universe’s heroes and villains.

In Spider-Man: No Way Home, the mid-credits sequence introduces Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock/Venom to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The character has appeared in two stand-alone films – Venom (2018) and Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021), however, because Sony owns the rights to Venom, it hasn’t entirely crossed over to the MCU. The post-credits sequence in Venom: Let There Be Carnage hinted that Venom and Eddie Brock had somehow crossed over to the MCU. Events in No Way Home revealed that it occurred when Doctor Strange’s spell to create.

After the release of No Way Home, it’s clear that they’re all outstanding actors–not just for their performances in the films, but also for their off-screen performances.
